What Is Chiropractic Care For Adults?

Chiropractic care improves the overall quality of life and is a powerful way to relieve pain and restore health.  Chiropractic care can be beneficial for people of all ages.

How Does Chiropractic Care Help?

At Dakota Chiropractic, our techniques and therapies help remove interference from your nervous system. This approach allows your body to heal itself.  Below are some common concerns you might be experiencing that we can help you resolve:

Back Pain

Back Pain may feel like a normal part of life. It doesn’t have to be. There are many reasons you may be experiencing pain. If you have struggled for more than a few weeks, it may be time to have it checked out.

Neck Pain

Neck pain can come from an accident, injury, osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, or just from life. Chiropractic care is a great non-surgical option that can reduce neck pain and related symptoms.

Headaches and Migraines

Most people don’t think of chiropractic care when suffering from migraines/headache pain. Chiropractic care can decrease irritation in the nerves that send pain signals to the brain, reduce muscle tension, and restore normal blood flow.

Sciatica

Approximately 10% of the adult population suffers from shooting pains that start in the lower back and travel down their leg. Chiropractic care can be highly effective in treating pain and eliminating the need for prescription medications.

Disc Bulging

A bulging disc occurs when the outer layer of your disc becomes compressed, and the disc becomes more flattened. Decompression strategies and stretching with chiropractic care will open up the area to reduce pain and inflammation.

Herniations

A herniated disc has damage to the outer layer of the cartilage. (Also known as a ruptured or slipped disc.) A herniated disc can affect nerve pain more than a bulging disc. Chiropractic care to reduce pain and inflammation is very similar.

Subluxations

Subluxation is used to define spinal vertebrae out of position. The misaligned vertebrae create pressure and stress on the nerves, blood vessels, and surrounding muscles. As time goes on, left untreated, the damage to the nerve gets progressively worse, and degeneration can set in. Chiropractic care can restore misaligned vertebrae to the proper position.

Posture Correction and Rehabilitation

Proper posture is essential to maintain the overall health of the body. People with good posture sleep better, feel better, and have fewer aches and pains. Good posture helps improve digestion and organ function too. Chiropractic care can help identify any posture concerns and make the adjustments necessary to improve them.
